From July 1, 2015, Professor Bengt Guss was appointed professor in veterinary bacteriology at the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health (BVF) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences – SLU). Professor Guss was earlier employed as professor in microbiology at the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The research of Professor Guss has been focused on pathogenicity factors and vaccine development concerning staphylococci and streptococci. More information about the research of Professor Guss and his colleague Associate Professor Lars Frykberg, who has also moved to BVF, can be found on the website of SLU.
